The main talking point of the first set of final games in the Champions League was Arsenal’s surprise first place finish. With PSG being guaranteed the top spot with a win, the French side went into their final match on home soil against Ludogrets as strong favourites. However, a poor performance saw the French Champions labour to a 2-2 draw, and as a result, the door was opened to Arsenal, giving them the chance to top the group, which they took through a 4-1 win at Basel.
As a result, the club tweeted out their celebrations, showing both their happiness at finishing in 1st spot, as well as thanking Ludogrets for their part to play in it:

However, what has taken social media by storm was what Bayern had to say in response to this tweet, as they made it clear that they were hoping to draw Arsenal in the next round, by responding with a tweet of their own as follows:

It is likely that Bayern will be one of the more unwanted draws for those who have topped the group, as the former Champions League winners have surprisingly ended up in 2nd place in their group behind Athletico. And with Arsenal looking to progress to the quarter finals for the first time a while, it is likely that the London side will be looking to avoid the German side in the next round of the draw in order to progress as far as possible in the competition.
